Horse-led Meditation

In the quiet, gentle presence of our heavy horses we are invited to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with ourselves.

Our horse-led meditation and mindfulness with horses experiences offer a calm and grounding space where participants can step away from the noise of everyday life and simply be present. Horses respond honestly and instinctively to energy and emotion, encouraging stillness and connection.

No horse experience is necessary. These sessions are gentle and welcoming, designed for those seeking rest, reflection and reconnection with nature. As horses are deeply intuitive animals who respond honestly to the energy around them, participants should feel comfortable sharing a calm, quiet space with large horses.

Whether you are searching for horse meditation, mindfulness with horses, or simply a peaceful nature-based wellbeing experience, our sessions offer a unique opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect alongside our gentle heavy horses.

What to expect

After a warm welcome and a meet-and-greet with the horses, meditations take place either within the peaceful atmosphere of the stable or outdoors in the yard amongst the horses, depending on the weather and the horses’ needs on the day.

Our horses are not trained or expected to behave in any particular way during these sessions. Instead, they are invited to join us freely, allowing each experience to unfold naturally and authentically in the moment.

There may be opportunities for quiet interaction, observation and reflective time following the meditation, creating space to slow down and reconnect with yourself, the horses and the natural world around you.

As a way of thanking the horses for sharing their energy and space with us, guests are invited to offer them a much-appreciated treat of carrots and apples.

As sessions are held within a working stable environment, comfortable all-weather clothing and sturdy footwear are required.

Meditations are facilitated by Mayela, a qualified therapist, alongside Debbie, an experienced horsewoman and qualified BHSAI instructor, ensuring a calm, supportive and safe space for both horses and participants.

Group meditation

We hold small horse-led meditation group sessions on most Wednesdays at 2pm (to fit in with the horses’ routine), with a maximum of five participants per session.

Private Sessions

Private horse-led meditation and mindfulness with horses sessions can be arranged for individuals, couples or small groups of up to five people.

Private sessions are available during our spring, summer and autumn season. As each experience is carefully arranged around the needs of both guests and horses, we recommend enquiring at least one month in advance to avoid disappointment.

Dates are generally released up to three months ahead.

Special Occasions

Special occasion horse-led meditation bookings are available during our spring, summer and autumn season for birthdays, hen gatherings and meaningful celebrations.

Private group sessions for up to five people — £200

A celebration cake can be included as part of your experience, or alternatively homemade biscuits and hot refreshments will be available in the barn.

As each experience is carefully arranged around the needs of both guests and horses, we recommend enquiring at least one month in advance to avoid disappointment.

Dates are generally released up to three months ahead.
